Merry Christmas from the Davenports!!!

Saddest Day of the Trip

On our last day of our vacation, we got a wake up call from my mom in Toronto telling me about the crazy ice storm that was probably going to delay our flight which totally was not great news to wake up to.  As most moms are, she was right and our flight was delayed one hour. This gave us more leisure time to get ready, but we still had no idea how bad the roads would be in Utah. I knew we had fun, but I had no idea how much I would miss my family in Utah until we said bye and started driving.  LOTS of tears were involved for most of our 5 hour drive back to Vegas. We made it to St. George where we walked around the temple grounds and absolutely loved the small town! It was SO cute!!!!!!

Our flight ended up getting A LOT more delayed once we got to Vegas and it got to the point where I really just wanted it to be cancelled so we could go back to Utah. Well nothing was cancelled but we were extremely delayed and made it to Toronto at around 5am. I missed my parents but I really wish we had family here in Toronto.

Last Full Day in Utah

On the last day, we had to make sure EVERYTHING was done on our list of things to do. We hit one more store to complete our shopping, then we went to Panda Express for the best Chinese fast food EVER!

It was also another of Ian's first! We then went to a music store where Ian fell in love with an amp that Dolly may be getting Ian for Christmas...

We went to my cousin Jonathan's house after the music store to meet his new puppy Jax.  He's a German Shepard and is HUGE!!!

From there, we got together with the rest of my older cousins to play a few games of Settlers of Catan which got very competitive.

Park City Day

We came on this trip not having done any Christmas shopping so we were looking forward to going to Park City! On the drive up, we drove through Midway, a small town in the mountains that Ian and I fell in love with and would love to move to (Heber was absolutely perfect too!) and we went to the crater.

People go swimming in the crater and we were definitely wishing we brought our bathing suits because it was SO warm in there!

We made it to the outlets and oh man did we love it! I didn't find what I wanted (I've been looking everywhere for a Fossil rose gold watch but they didn't have one that I liked). Then I saw the store: Abercrombie and Fitch Outlet. Safe to say, I LOVED that store!!! At the end of our epic shopping trip, we went to Cafe Rio where Ian got to try a Rio salad for the first time ever!

It tasted SO yummy!!
On the drive back, we stopped by Salt Lake City where we hung out with one of Ian's mission companions, Derek.

It was SO cool to see Ian and Derek speak Albanian (even though I swear they said something about me) and I loved hearing the stories!! From Salt Lake, we went to my Aunt Katy's house to see everyone and it turned into a famjam that rocked!

Utah: Day 2

We woke up today and I told Ian "Today, we eat like Brazilians!" We went with my family to Tucano's (a brazilian buffet in Orem that is SO yummy!!!). The best part was getting to take Ian to the MTC one more time since he went there for his mission 7 years ago!

Did you know there was a beach in Provo?

When we got home, Guillermo, Stephanie, and Jonathan came over for a PJ party (hence the reindeer pants)
