Mr and Mrs Davenport

On August 11th, 2012 Ian and I were sealed for time and all eternity. After about 4 months of planning, our wedding was amazing and went off perfectly. I had 3 hours of sleep followed by an early morning filled with late hair appointments, thinking I wasn't going to be as pretty as the brides in the magazines and terrified that we forgot to plan for something. I still can't believe we got married and that I am now Mrs. Davenport!! Here are just a few of my favourites from our perfect day!

Arriba! Los Davenport estan en Mexico!

For our honeymoon, we went to the Riviera Maya, Mexico for one week. It was about day two of our vacation when it hit is that we were married (one of Ian's mom's friends had posted wedding pictures and we were like "whoa! That actually happened")
This is also where my 'Hot Bride' diet went down the drain and I didn't have to have nasty shake (instead, I had Strawberry Daquiris by the pool)
We went to Chicheniza, swam with dolphins, played with baby tigers, and soaked up the sun in Mexico :)

A Few 'Post Wedding' Shots

I love my dress SO much that I will jump at any opportunity to put it back on. So when we were asked to take a few 'Bridal pictures' I totally said yes! These are my favourites from that night :)

WE'RE ENGAGED!!!

Ian had come to my house to spend the day with me when Ian had the random idea to go out to dinner. While brainstorming restaurants, Ian came up with a restaurant that we both love and is in our old neighborhood in Thornhill (Santorini) but you usually need reservations to eat there. We got dressed up and went to ‘see if they had an opening’. When we got there, Ian had made reservations and I knew something was up. We had a great dinner and Ian kept saying that he was nervous and had butterflies but wouldn’t tell me why. When we finished dinner and were completely stuffed, Ian was adamant that we order desert and I was SURE that the ring was in the cheesecake we ordered. When the cheesecake was completely eaten, I thought that one of us had eaten the ring, when Ian starts laughing and saying he was joking and wasn’t doing it in the restaurant. I was not happy with his super mean joke, but we later went on a walk where we were raised (we grew up one street away from each other but didn’t meet until two years ago). We talked about a lot of things and Ian kept saying how awesome it would be to raise a family in our old neighborhood (which I completely agreed on because I loved my childhood there). We went back to my house, hung out for a little while then he went back to his parent’s house because he had an early morning the next day. About 10 minutes after he left, he called me to ask me to get him because his car had broken down. When I opened the garage door, there was an aisle of rose petals just like the one on the Bachelor (a show that I love) right when the Bachelor is going to propose. Not knowing what was going on, I ran back inside screaming “am I supposed to be in the garage? What’s going on?” When I made it back to the garage and made it to the end of the aisle I found a single red rose and an empty ring box. Ian popped out (and scared me!), told me his feelings, and proposed!
His brother Scott was there too to help Ian out (thanks Scott!)

I had NO idea that it was going to happen (especially after the psych out at restaurant) and I was completely surprised.I can’t wait to be sealed to my best friend and start this new chapter in our lives together <3

Ian worked really hard on getting me the perfect ring and he most definately did!
It's so perfect!
