Feliz Navidad!!!

This was our first year together as a married couple and it was a busy one! We spent Christmas Eve with my family here in Richmond Hill and Christmas Day with Ian's family in Whitby. Since my mom and Ian were sick, my dad and I went to the Christmas Pageant without them since it was one hour outside in the freezing cold. We also got to go to our very first Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at our friend Rachel and Chris's house! I'm really competitive so when I heard it was a contest for ugliest sweater, it was game on! (Poor Ian had no choice) There were also a lot of babies at this party which was SO much fun, especially when Ian was handed one so her mommy could go to the washroom (he was so awkward holding her it made everyone laugh). Then was Boxing Day! The huge line at Forever 21 was insane but I left with a $5 sweater, $6 dress, and 50 cent earrings so it was worth it in the end (Ian waited in line the whole time with me so he might not have had as much fun)

My Imaginary Trip To Utah aka Mom's Trip to Utah

So right before Christmas, my mom went to Utah to visit our family.  I definitely wish I went too, but there was no way I would have been able to go because of school.  When my mom came home, I grabbed the camera and was caught up on everything that went down with the family.  End result: I MISS THEM SO MUCH AND WISH I LIVED THERE!!! I can't wait to go back to Utah with Ian so the whole family can meet him, but until then, here are some of her best pictures of my awesome aunts and uncles and adorable cousins:

First Day of Journalism!

This year I not only got married but I also got to start my new journalism program.  I have been looking forward to this program since I got the acceptance letter and I was right to be excited!  After this program, it is my dream to be a reporter at CTV Toronto.  Turns out my Television News professor was Bill Hutchison, an anchor at CTV Toronto. Yup, I was definitely a little bit starstruck walking into class and it ended up being my favourite class all semester.
Following the tradition my mom started since my first day of kindergarten, Here are the pictures of me with my backpack on my first day of a new school year:
